Purpose:
This role has responsibility to conduct psychological evaluations and provide psychiatric services to residents
Duties & Responsibilities:
-Conduct a psychological evaluation of each resident within a week of their intake
-Provide psychiatric services to residents in need

Required Education & Experience:
A psychiatrist, at the time of appointment shall possess the following:
(a) A medical degree from an accredited school of medicine. Completion of a psychiatric residency program and one year of experience as a psychiatrist in a mental health, clinic, program, or child caring institution. Possession of a license to practice medicine in Michigan. Possession of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology "general requirements" for certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

-Must not be listed on Central Registry for the abuse or neglect of a child
-Must not be listed on the Sexual Offender Registry
-Must be of good moral character
