Purpose:
This role has responsibility for the on-site day-to-day operation of the institution and for ensuring compliance with the rules set forth in BACL-PUB_452_6_15_504533_7
Duties & Responsibilities:
(1) Administratively responsible annually for all of the following functions:
(a) Not less than once annually, conduct a written assessment and verify the agency's compliance with the rules set forth in BACL-PUB_452_6_15_504533_7
(b) Develop and implement a written plan to correct, within 6 months, rule violations identified as a result of the assessment conducted pursuant to subdivision (a) of this sub-rule.
(c) Conduct a written evaluation of trends and patterns of all unplanned discharges.
(2) Manage the on-site day-to-day operation of the institution and ensure compliance with rules.

Required Education & Experience:
A chief administrator, at the time of appointment shall possess either of the following:
(a) A master's degree in a human behavioral science, education, business administration, or public administration from an accredited college or university and 2 years of experience in a child caring institution or child placing agency or equivalent
(b) A bachelor's degree with a major in education, a human behavioral science, business administration, or public administration from an accredited college or university and 4 years experience of post-bachelor's degree experience in a child caring institution or child placing agency or equivalent

Other Requirements:
-Must not be listed on Central Registry for the abuse or neglect of a child
-Must not be listed on the Sexual Offender Registry
-Must be of good moral character
